Jestico + Whiles have renovated a former textile mill, in full respect of the historical building are managed in an excellent way to combine modern furniture design with brick for the exterior. This has created a unique environment that is able to offer its customers an incredible atmosphere. We were very impressed the huge skylight in the reception area that seem to convey the facts on the ground, brightly decorated with natural light. Ceiling vaults in stone and wood are alternated with the furnishings of minimalist design and elegant shapes and soft. The bar counter looks like a beehive modern neutral colors lit up with a new and very elegant effect. A line of fluorescent tubes from below and above seem to create a sheet of light that divides the service area from that for the public.

The restaurant area but maintains a very simple character references where the dark tones of the furniture alternate with large elements of frame finishes such as pillars and vaults of the same on almost any area of the restaurant. In the rooms of the Hotel is appreciated but the alternation of brick with colorful pieces of furniture that seem to amplifiicare the contrast between the modern and the historicity of the building. There are many important design lamps in those same rooms obvious sign of a research project also projected to enlightenment.

The exterior lighting is certainly more poor instead of solutions, but enough to make us appreciate the wonderful grandeur of the building that opens to customers once they have entered into it.
