The new Quincy Hotel in Singapore
The architectural firm Ong & Ong has designed the new Quincy Hotel in Singapore. The study has provided both the structural and interior design project, creating a small gem of design. The hotel quickly shows his soul and modern rooms are exactly the theme on which the study of Ong & Ong was based on this project. The coating materials used in fact reveal an attention to detail and a clean shape that we were pleasantly surprised.

Quincy Hotels
The bedrooms are furnished with pieces of furniture very clean and minimalist where the main element is certainly the wall on which was placed on bed. It is a stone wall covered with a dark-colored and three-dimensional texture that enhances the lighting choice beautifully. It is a veil plasterboard that choice by architects, which were placed recessed halogen spotlights and vertically narrow beam wash the wall three-dimensional effect of amplifying the same aumentanto and the contrasts between the gray and the shadows that the wall gives .
At the center of the wall itself was placed in a horizontal element shiny material which is both as a container from which nightlights, providing visual comfort for the night vision that furnishing the wall itself. Two simple table lamp for the bedside tables complete the project illumianzione the chamber.
Draw each chamber has an internal bath area which goes to the eyes for the presence of transparent walls that delimit the space, the walls that do not limit the space of the chamber but actually amplify the volume. For the lighting of the bathrooms has been used a range of recessed spotlights to ceiling with simple shapes. Just as simple is the illumination of the mirror that seems to come out of another veil placed over the mirror, a solution that resembles the one adopted for the main wall of the chamber.
The breakfast area between color and reflection
Seat with soft contours and round tables seem to want to create small spaces where privacy and comfort are the main issues that have set themselves the architects of Ong & Ong. A glass wall along the space reserved for the tables instead makes a mirror and reflect light to a series of blocks applied to the opposite wall. This is a theme already present in the area and employed in the Hotel reception.
The simplicity and optimization of space affects us and denotes research areas in the subdivision of the constant search of well-being of customers. Cuts in the ceiling with the use of downlights are then incorporated into the same cut line by completing the general lighting.
Health club and spa overlooking the whole city
A series of recessed mounted in the wooden floor of the spa seem to represent the surrounding stars fall from the sky on which you can walk on. The fact is embedded in the Hotel and Spa overlooks the city without any external closure, offering unique views to visitors. The theme of general lighting remains the same up to now presented with a series of collections that wash the main wall area always covered with a stone three-dimensional effect.
In the pool area a recess in plasterboard has been enhanced by low lighting low that literally washes the ceiling giving effects of warm light and attractive. The pillars supporting the ceiling are valued and marked with recessed spotlights on the ceiling that will mark the circular shape.
Anchors for the bright reception area
In this zone immediately jumps to the attention the presence of a long wall the whole covered with small pieces of light square and rectangular forms. The reception is just obtained within this long wall that seems to recall past retro design and special effects. Pleasant plant combined with the effect of light produced in the ceiling similar to that used in B is efficient and pleasant.
Originality and simplicity are in this area where space is long and very close to breakfast area seems to want to create a sort of billboard visible from neighboring buildings. The customer is definitely affected by the multiplicity of forms and blocks rimanendone attracted and intrigued. The Quincy Hotel is sicuramenteil right result that is born from a careful study of architecture related to a careful lighting design. "Never ... nothing comes by chance."
